PRASANNA
Founder Trustee
Prasanna is a distinguished theatre director and a social activist. He is a guest faculty at National School of Drama (NSD) and has served as director of Rangayana, Mysuru. He is the founder of Samudaya, Kavi-Kavya Trust, Charaka Women's Multipurpose Industrial Co-operative Society, Ontidani Prakashana and Desi Trust. He served as Managing Trustee till March 2013. He advises the Trust in almost all matters of decision making.
M S SATHYU
Trustee
M S Sathyu is a Film Director, Stage Designer, Dramatist and Art Director of national repute. He is a recipient of Padmashree in 1975. He has been part of Desi Trust since its inception.
JAYANTHI MARULASIDDAPPA
Trustee
Jayanthi Marulasiddppa, daughter of the well-known writer Shri. G S Shivarudrappa and wife of famous literary critic Shri. Marulasiddppa is a well-known costume designer for theatre and films. She is providing design service to Desi Trust as Trustee since inception.
J KRISHNA
Managing Trustee
J Krishna has worked at Charaka Society and Desi Trust in various capacities. He is serving as Managing Trustee of Desi Trust since 2013 and currently also is the Head of Finance at Desi Trust.
AJAY KUMAR SINGH
Trustee
Ajay Kumar Singh served the Karnataka State Police Department as Director General and Inspector General of Police (DG&IGP). He is also a distinguished writer. After his retirement he is actively involved in social activities and advises the Trust.
M S KESHAVA
Trustee
M S Keshava is the Director of Chayagraphics India Pvt. Ltd. for the last 25 years and also Director of Prognosys Medical Systems Pvt. Ltd. for the last 10 years. He is senior partner of VK Commerce for the last two decades. He advises the Trust on financial matters.
MAHALAKSHMI
Trustee
Mahalakshmi has been a member of Charaka Womens' Co-operative since its inception. She has served as the Secretary of the co-operative and also as one of the board of Directors in the past. Currently she is in charge of the Pre-loom and Loom activities.
M V CHANDRASHEKAR
Trustee
M V Chandrashekar is Fashion Designer who runs his own studio named Metaphor at Bengaluru. He is involved in costume designing for Films and Television. He has been Trustee of Desi since its inception and is also the Chief Designer at Charaka Society.
K T CHIKKANNA
Trustee
K T Chikkanna has served in Kannada and Culture Dept. of Karnataka Govt. at various capacities and retired as Joint Director. He is a famous writer in Kannada and presently works as Co-ordianator of the Kanakadasa Peeta of State Govt. He advises the Trust in various policy matters.
SHASHIDHAR ADAPA
Trustee
Shashidhar Adapa is a Stage designer and an Art Director for Indian films. He contributes his skills towards social causes and helps design the venue for various movements. He has been a Trustee since 2018.
